I hope you are all healthy, enduring and staying connected in this truly unprecedented time of disruption, fear and isolation.
I wanted to give you updates on what is happening with our UUFEC community at this time.
Sunday Services: Our Sunday services anchor our consistency and tradition. They are a scheduled window of time in our week that many of us have created intentionally to maintain the spirituality and connection in our lives. At this point, UUFEC is looking into ways to keep a schedule of UUFEC speakers that can live stream on facebook every Sunday am. Meanwhile, our Minister Doak, has provided us with a treasure trove of recorded services, available HERE.
Our Second hour Groups, help to fulfill a need for more intimate connections with one another, deeper spirituality, intellectual expansion, and social justice action. All second hour group leaders are enthusiastically urged to reach out to Shar Farley with their ideas and plans for continuing these activities in our new online world.
Committees and Board of Trustees: The Board of Trustees will proceed with the previously scheduled meeting for March 30, following currently advised COVID 19 Safe Guidelines of no more than 10 people and keeping 6 feet distance between us. We will explore virtual board meetings for the future. Other committees are likewise exploring options.
Building Connections: Our membership chair, Jane Park is re-creating and enhancing our UUFEC Phone Tree. Stay tuned for a UUFEC phone call with more details.
There are needs to be filled. UUFEC needs creative people with energy and virtual / social media / digital connection ‘know-how’ to help build this network, so that UUFEC can keep supporting a world in need. Please reach out to me at president@uufec.com if you feel the call to volunteer in any way to help build and strengthen UUFEC in these surreal times.
Wishing you all health and peace.
