Tapestry of Faith Programs for Children

Our Religious Exploration Program is dedicated to the spiritual nurturing of our wonderful children and youth. The UUA Tapestry of Faith is a creative on-line curriculum that we use in our Sunday morning RE classes. As we continue the theme of LOVE, our two younger classes will engage the following curriculum, which can be found at the UUA Tapestry of Faith website (http://www.uua.org/re/tapestry/children/):

Grades K-1    WONDERFUL WELCOME

In this program, children identify intangible gifts central to Unitarian Universalism such as friendship, hospitality and fairness, and share these gifts with others.

Grades 2-5 TWEENS     TOOLBOX OF FAITH

Invites participants to reflect on qualities of our Unitarian Universalist faith, such as integrity, courage and love, as tools they can use in living their lives and building their own faith.

TWEENS

The TWEENs (Middle School) will continue with the curriculum “LOVE & THE INTERDEPENT WEB OF EXISTENCE.”  This curriculum is developed by Gil Brown and his wonderful team of teachers. The youth will participate in experiences, both inside and outside the classroom, that are designed to expand their physical, intellectual, and moral horizons.

May the aspirations of the UUFEC be realized as our RE Committee, Staff, and teachers faithfully serve in the continual development of vital knowledge, values, habits, and skills within the sweet youth of our beloved community that are central to being persons of LOVE!
