Mandy Goheen is a lot of things! She is a graduate of Starr King for the Ministry and UU Ministerial Candidate. She has worked for the Church of the Larger Fellowship for over three years and has been their Director of Prison Ministry for two years. She lives in the Montgomery, Alabama area with her husband and six children. She is thrilled to be preaching throughout the South this Spring about the Church of the Larger Fellowship’s Prison Ministry where she serves over 850 UU’s living in prisons across the US.
About Sunday’s message: The work of prison ministry is surprising, humbling, and sacred work for those called into community with incarcerated people. Mandy will talk about how this work has impacted her understanding of who is the student and who is the teacher in the context of understanding Beloved Community.
